Pa Cyber's Board Needs To Get Its Act Together

Jaskiewcz denied any wrongdoing and said there was nothing unusual about the school paying for his daughter to take college courses. PA Cyber CEO Michael Conti, however, said that the school does not pay for college courses taken by its students. Meanwhile, the school has hired a Philadelphia law firm to investigate the complaint. As for Jaskiewczs explanation for resigning from the board, he simply said: Once we removed our daughter from the school, why would I remain on the board? Well give Jaskiewcz credit for being honest in his reason for resigning, but we have to question the commitment of a board member whose sole purpose, it appears, is to serve so he can keep an eye on things while his daughter is a student.

Feds: PA Cyber Charter School founder Trombetta schemed to steal $1 million

A graphic is displayed at a news conference on the Nicholas Trombetta indictment Friday at FBI South Side headquarters. In the background: U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton (center), FBI Special Agent in Charge Gary Douglas Perdue (left) and Special Agent in Charge Steven Anderson. Prence's attorney, Stan Levenson, said he is out of town and had not yet read the indictment. "We've been expecting this," he said. "This is no surprise. "He has always denied he did anything illegal, and I'm anxious to see the government's case and read the indictment." Prosecutors left open the possibility of additional charges and defendants.
